Lutheran Hour Float takes first place

The 2015 Lutheran Hour Ministries Tournament of Roses Parade Float, entitled The Bible …God’s Story,  won the Princess’ Trophy for the most beautiful float under 35′. Praise the Lord for this recognition!

Phil Krauss of Livonia, Mich., was among the riders on the float. He’s the LLL Board of Directors Chairman.

A special thank you to all of our Petal Pushers®, who made it possible for the float roll down the parade route on New Year’s day.

Quite simply, this year’s float, The Bible …God’s Story, is an homage to the Word of God. Represented on it are Noah, the faithful ark-builder who persisted in the face of countless challenges; Moses, the spirited leader who led an unruly people from Egypt toward the Promised Land; the Baptism of Jesus who, rising from the waters of the River Jordan, was proclaimed by the Father as His only Son; and, emerging from the pages of Scripture itself, the birth of Jesus, God’s Son, our Savior.

The mission of the Lutheran Hour Float Committee is to provide a Christian witness and the message of hope in Jesus Christ, to the unchurched, who view the float in person or through other media.

The Lutheran Hour Float is a project of the Southern California District of the International Lutheran Laymen’s League. The project relies solely on the generous support of our many Christian friends. The cost of this project is not included in any budgets of the Lutheran Laymen’s League or the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. We hope that you will want to share with us in this ministry. We request your prayers and appreciate your financial support. You may DONATE HERE or mail your gift to: The Lutheran Hour Float Committee, PO Box 20044, Riverside CA 92516-0044.
