Michigan District LLL welcomes Lutheran Hour speaker at 2023 convention
“Gifted for more” was the topic of the annual Michigan District Lutheran Laymen’s League convention on April 29 at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Livonia.
Rev. Joel Eden, of Frankenmuth led a session on “Good Theology – Good Decisions”
His second session was on Barrels of Gifts; Gifts to sustain creation, gift(s) of faith, gifts to build up that faith.
Lutheran Hour speaker Rev. Michael Zeigler also spoke at the convention. He had the attendees listen to what it may have been like for Paul to have written a letter with Timothy as his scribe. Rev. Zeigler recites as his son Jude plays Timothy, his scribe.
He asked everyone to please go to EveryGift.org and take the quick survey to learn more about our own gifts.
Because of COVID, it was the first LLL district convention since 2019. One had been scheduled for April 2020 but was canceled shortly after the outbreak of the pandemic.
The convention voted for the following officers: President Dennis Engelhard; Vice President Gilbert Bartz, Treasurer, Phil Krauss I; and secretary Phil Krauss II
Closing devotion and prayer was led by Rev Dean Davenport.
