Al Renard addresses the 2018 Michigan LLL convention

Alfred Renard is in his second year as chairman of the Lutheran Laymen’s League Michigan District Arcadia Retreat and encourages all laymen to consider attending the stimulating four-day event which this year is Sept 6-9 at Camp Arcadia.

Renard recently addressed the attendees at the Lutheran Laymen’s League Michigan District about the Arcadia Retreat.

The retreat, Renard pointed out, gives Lutheran Laymen a chance to engage in Bible study, fellowship and recreation while relaxing on the shores of Lake Michigan.

He and fellow retreat committee member Tom Wright made a video presentation and highlighted the appearance this year of LCMS Synodical president Matthew Harrison as the retreat speaker.

Renard pointed out the retreat has attracted a wide range of ages and new faces come to the retreat every year. Retreaters have a chance to use Camp Arcadia’s unique resources and also have recreational opportunities such as golf, swimming, tennis, horseshoes, softball and ping pong.

The retreat will end on Sunday with the announcement of the 2019 retreat speaker.

Renard invites churches to publicize the retreat and encourage their men to attend. Contact Renard (ahrenard@hotmail.com) for more information and registration forms.
